Our History

The Salt Therapy Clinic & Sanctuary is founded in March 2020 in Canberra with the intention of supporting respiratory health and overall well-being through Salt Therapy.

As the practice grew, many clients began sharing deeper challenges beyond physical symptoms — including emotional stress, life transitions, and chronic conditions that appeared closely connected to their mental and emotional wellbeing.

Through years of working with clients, Connie Ng observed a recurring pattern: the body often reflects deeper emotional and subconscious processes.

This insight gradually shaped the evolution of the clinic.

While the salt therapy room is currently closed, the practice has expanded into a holistic mind–body healing space, integrating counselling, Traditional Chinese Medicine Five Elements insight, vibrational plant essences, and advanced quantum energy healing modalities.

Today, The Salt Therapy Clinic & Sanctuary supports clients seeking a deeper understanding of the relationship between their physical health, emotional landscape, and life experiences.

About the Founder

As a chronic sinusitis and eczema sufferer, The Salt Therapy Clinic & Sanctuary Founder, Connie Ng has enjoyed symptomatic relief and the natural healing benefits of undergoing Halotherapy (Dry Salt Therapy) treatment sessions. When a serendipitous opportunity came for her to purchase a Salt Therapy Cabin, she decided to do so for her own healing and to keep Halotherapy as an alternative treatment alive in Canberra. As a Businesswoman whom is increasingly embracing a more spiritual lifestyle on her personal journey where she has started to meditate regularly, she felt that it was a natural progression to add Holistic Health and Wellness into her repertoire of businesses that integrates the Mind, Body and Spirit to optimise one’s physical and mental well-being.

“I’ve been suffering from severe eczema and psoriasis all my life. I have tried many different methods to ease the symptoms with little success. Connie recommended salt therapy to me and I have noticed significant improvements with just a few sessions. It’s also a great place to relax after a long day.”
